Principles

The stereoscope is an optical microscope designed for low magnification observation of a sample, typically using light reflected from the surface of an object. The instrument uses two separate optical paths with two objectives and eyepieces to provide slightly different viewing angles to the left and right eyes and produces a three dimensional. It is suitable for examining solid samples with complex topography, where a 3D view is needed for analyzing the details.

Capabilities

  • Stereomicroscope delivers sharp, distortion-free 3D images from overview to small details.
  • Click stop or continuous range feature, sets at any suitable magnification.
  • Zoom systems can achieve total magnification by a set factor.
  • Long working distance allows observing bigger samples.
  • Flexible, dual fiber optic light provides best illumination for the sample
  • Using the Axiocam digital camera, images can be captured.
  • Captured images can be processed with the computer and Axiovision software.
