About the Program

Our Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering is a comprehensive program that requires a minimum of 132 credit hours for completion. The curriculum is divided into four main categories to ensure a well-rounded education: 
1.    General Education Courses
2.    Mathematics and Basic Science Courses
3.    College of Engineering Requirements
4.    Major Requirements.

Curriculum Highlights

  • General Education Courses (15 Credits): Students begin with foundational courses in writing skills and can choose from a variety of electives including Kuwait Modern and Contemporary History or History of Arab and Islamic Civilization, alongside humanities and social science courses.
  • Mathematics and Basic Science Courses (27 Credits): These courses lay the groundwork for engineering principles, including multiple levels of Calculus, Linear Algebra, General Chemistry, and Physics.
  • College of Engineering Requirements (18 Credits): A mix of common engineering courses and other engineering disciplines to provide a broad understanding of engineering fundamentals.
  • Major Requirements (72 Credits): The heart of the program, focusing on Computer Engineering with courses ranging from computer hardware, software development, computer networks to information security, artificial intelligence, and robotics.
